Charleston detectives asked Tuesday for the public's help in identifying a man caught on camera using a stolen debit card.
The card was used Sunday at several spots on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston, including Jo Jo Quick Stop and Family Dollar, where he bought a cellphone and a phone card, the Charleston Police Department said.
The purchases totaled about $100.
The card had been stolen late Saturday or early Sunday from a drunken man who told the police that he had passed out on a bench in downtown Charleston and woke up without his wallet, keys and cellphone.
Anyone who recognizes the man in the surveillance footage should contact the detective on the case, J.B. Kursh, at 843-720-3913 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
