A Charleston-based cruise ship on Monday spotted an unoccupied paddleboat floating off the east coast of Florida, setting off a search.
The Associated Press reported that Coast Guard crews are looking for the owner of the empty yellow paddleboat that was found 57 miles east of St. Augustine by the Carnival Fantasy.
The Fantasy is traveling from Charleston to Freeport in the Bahamas.
A helicopter and a rescue boat continue to search the waters for possible missing people.
