Saturday is the deadline to register to vote to participate in the June 10 primaries.
Eligible voters -including 17-year-olds who will turn 18 by Nov. 4 - may go online to scvotes.org to register (with a driver's license) or to print out a registration form.
Copies also are available at most public libraries.
As long as the registration application is postmarked by Saturday, it will be processed in time to qualify the voter for next month's primaries.
Here's a look at where South Carolinians have registered to vote so far this year:
At county voter registration offices 853
By mail 5,686
At Department of Motor Vehicles 22,052
At other government offices 409
Note: Figures are for new registrations between Jan. 1 and Thursday.
