SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Deputies say a woman is going to homes in Spartanburg County telling residents she is an undercover officer looking for prescription drugs.
Authorities said the 48-year-old woman was let into a home in Greer on Tuesday after saying she needed to search it for drugs. Deputies say after the woman was told there were no drugs, she asked if anyone else in the neighborhood might have prescription drugs and searched that house too. Investigators think the woman has done this at other homes before and are asking people to report if someone has come to their home and made a similar request.
