On the eve of the first round of the NFL draft, former USC defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, who is expected to be the first player selected in the draft Thursday night, appeared on NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" and said the first thing he'll do after signing a contract is buy a house for his mother.
Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins, projected as a top five pick, also appeared on the show, along with other first-round prospects.
Clowney was the star.
"Are you a millionaire?" Fallon asked as the two were discussing Clowney's chances of becoming rich and famous.
"No, not yet,' Clowney said. "I'm still broke."
Clowney said he still lives at home with his mother and the audience cheered when he said the first thing he was going to do with his pro football wealth would be to buy her a house.
The two go on to discuss what might happen when Houston gets to pick the first player in this year's draft. Fallon also showed a clip of the famous Clowney hit on Michigan in the 2013 Outback Bowl.
