Charleston County sheriff's deputies say the 63-year-old man they've been searching for in Awendaw was found safe in Georgia with a relative Sunday morning. Deputies responded to Bowes Residential Care Facility at 9270 U.S. Highway 17 in Awendaw at 9:11 p.m. Saturday after staff reported that resident Hugh Mosley hadn't been seen since 7 p.m.
Mosley has been diagnosed with dementia and schizophrenia, Maj. Eric Watson said.
The sheriff's office air support, K-9 and search and rescue teams searched the area Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
