The Charleston Tribe is hoping its third straight appearance in the South Carolina Independent Lacrosse League (SCILL) state championship game will be the charm.
The Tribe, which lost to Benedictine of Savannah the last two years in the title game, will face Savannah Christian for the SCILL title at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Danny Jones Sports Complex in North Charleston.
The Tribe stretched its record to 9-0 with an 11-5 victory over Camden Military Academy last Friday.
Hurricane Boxing Gym, located at 792 Folly Road, will hold four boxing camps for youth ages 8-14 on July 7-11, July 14-18, July 21-25 and July 28-Aug. 1. Camps are limited to 20 children and run from 8 a.m.-noon. The camps include boxing, nutrition, anatomy and video. The cost is $250 per camp. Tryouts for the Moncks Corner Mavericks 10U travel baseball team will be held at 2 p.m. May 18 at the Youth Field Complex, located at 663 Water Plant Road in Moncks Corner.
