South Carolina Electric & Gas Co. volunteers and others will spend two days next week weatherizing two homes in North Charleston and Summerville as part of the utility's spring Home Weatherization Blitz.
More than 25 people will work from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at a house on Sanders Avenue in North Charleston and a similar time Wednesday at a house at on Echo Drive in Summerville. They will do caulking, weather-stripping, painting, insulating and replacing windows and doors to make them more weather tight.
SCE&G volunteers weatherized two homes in Aiken and Columbia earlier this week. Another home in Beaufort will be part of the project on Thursday.
The project is coordinated with the Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity and Charleston County Human Services Commission.
