A St. George man burning yard debris Monday afternoon was fatally injured when the fire got out of control.
Michael Eugene Westbury, 59, of Wire Road died of heat inhalation and thermal injury, according to Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet. High wind may have been a factor in the fire getting out of control, Nisbet said.
The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office was investigating.
A Lexington County man died in a similar accident Saturday.
Firefighters found the body of Stephen Brewer, 51, when they put out a blaze at his home.
Authorities told The Associated Press that Brewer and his father were burning trash and yard debris on their land in Gaston when the blaze got out of control.
