SALISBURY, Md. - After losing the resumption of a suspended game, the Charleston RiverDogs lost their road trip finale, 5-0, to the Delmarva Shorebirds on Sunday at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in South Atlantic League action.

Delmarva earned a 5-3 walk-off win in eight innings to complete a suspended game from Saturday's doubleheader before winning the finale.

The RiverDogs (11-12) finished 3-4 in a seven-game road trip that included a series victory at Lakewood.

Sunday's action began with extra innings and a quick finish to a game that started on Saturday before being suspended due to weather.

After the RiverDogs were scoreless in the top of the eighth inning, Delmarva (12-11) extended the inning with Drew Dosch's two-out single followed by a walk-off home run from Conor Bierfeldt.

Charleston pitchers had combined to retire 15 straight Shorebirds until the late pair of hits led to the Delmarva victory.

Giovanny Gallegos (0-3) suffered the loss for the RiverDogs in the second game.

After a league-wide off day on Monday, Charleston will open a seven-game homestand against the Augusta GreenJackets on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.

RiverDogs RHP Brady Lail (2-1, 5.49 ERA) is scheduled to pitch against GreenJackets RHP Chase Johnson (1-1, 2.08 ERA).
