ST. GEORGE - The Dorchester County Assessor's office will have an interruption in service for two weeks starting Friday, according to assessor Wayne Welch.
The current system will be offline while the new Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal system is tested. The new system is expected to launch on May 12.
The office will be open to assist the public, to review deeds and to receive applications for legal residence and agricultural use classifications.
Moving permits for mobile homes and registration of new mobile homes will be issued manually.
While the system is offline, there will be no parcel corrections. Transfers and changes will not be reflected until the new system is online.
All forms and documents are still available on the county's website, www.dorchestercounty.net.
For details, call the assessor's office at (843) 563-0162 or 832-0162.
