Charleston police have charged a Johns Island man for two armed robberies that occurred within minutes of each other on March 23 in a shopping complex on Maybank Highway.
According to a media release, Feraud DaShaun Lemon, 24, of Jules Drive, is charged with two counts of armed robbery. Lemon was being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center.
The first robbery occurred about 10 p.m. at the CVS Pharmacy at 1739 Maybank Highway. Two men, one of them armed with a handgun, entered the pharmacy and demanded the clerk give them the cash from the register.
The men then left the pharmacy and went to Barbaritos Southwestern Grille and also demanded the cash from the register.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about these robberies should call 743-7200 and ask for the on-call Charleston police detective.
