North Charleston City Gallery Exhibit
What: Charleston photographer, Susana Berdecio, will present a collection of Lowcountry scenes in "Discovering a Sense of Place." Images of Jazz Artists of Charleston (JAC) & Charleston Jazz Orchestra events over the past six years captured by JAC resident photographers Alice Keeney, Priscilla Thomas, Ben Williams, and Reese Moore will also be on display in the exhibit "See Jazz."

Lunchtime Lecture: Gullah Arts & Traditions
What: "Art with a Twist: Gullah, Its Arts and Traditions," presented by the Gibbes Museum of Art. Sharon Cooper-Murray, aka the Gullah Lady, is an ambassador of the Gullah culture in the Lowcountry and will share an oral history of the traditions and arts that have been preserved over time by the local descendents of African slaves. Ticket price includes lunchbox and the location of the lecture is at the oldest African American church on Johns Island.
