RALEIGH, N.C. - Authorities say a 10-month-old North Carolina girl has been abducted by her father, who has made threats to kill himself and the child.
Durham police believe Tamiyah Elssy Bryant was abducted around 8:15 a.m. Saturday by Rodney Bryant, reports WRAL. Police say Bryant was taking the girl's mother to work at a restaurant and when she tried to get out of the car, he forcefully held her down. Police say he eventually made her get out on the side of Interstate 40 in Durham.
Police issued arrest warrants charging Rodney Bryant with kidnapping, assault on a woman and communicating threats.
Police say may he may be headed to Atlanta, but they did not say why.
