One person was taken to the hospital after a car struck a pedestrian in the Avondale community Saturday night, according to Charleston police.
The incident happened at 11:19 p.m. at the intersection of Savannah Highway and Magnolia Road, Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said.
Francis said he did not know the condition of the person injured.
