EASLEY, S.C. -- Police in Easley say a woman has been accidentally shot to death by a 6-year-old boy as she sat in a moving car.
Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley says 22-year-old Alexandra Anita Santos of Easley died Thursday afternoon after she was shot in the back as she sat in the front seat of a friend's car.
Police say the friend's 6-year-old son fired the gun through the seat, killing Santos. Police say the boy found the loaded gun in the backseat of the car.
Maj. Tim Tollison says Easley investigators are trying to find out who owned the gun. Police have not released the name of the person driving the car.
No charges have been filed.
