Charleston police have charged a man with obstructing their investigation into a robbery that occurred earlier this month on the peninsula.
Darrian Marquis Mitchell, 20, of Primrose Avenue in North Charleston, was being held at the Charleston County jail Thursday on the charge.
Mitchell is accused of lying about his whereabouts around the time of the April 4 robbery at the intersection of Chalmers and State streets, police spokesman Charles Francis said.
A man was robbed of his iPhone and the bag he was carrying in the incident, Francis said.
The robbery remains under investigation.
