A bomb threat cleared out the Google Data Center in Berkeley County on Thursday morning.

A note saying a bomb was going to go off was found about 9 a.m., Berkeley County sheriff's Maj. Rick Ollic said.

Employees were evacuated from the buildings off U.S. Highway 52 and then let back inside after each building was cleared, Sheriff's Office spokesman Dan Moon said.

Nothing was found after several hours, and the search was expected to be finished by late afternoon, Moon said.
