Spring has sprung in the Lowcountry.
We had 34 colorful entries this week from all over the Lowcountry, though we did see quite a few from Magnolia Plantation and Gardens.
Our editors ultimately chose one of those pictures, taken by Anne Bond of Daniel Island, to appear in Friday's People section. Pick up a copy of the newspaper Friday to read what they liked most about it.
We also liked several others to possibly appear in My Charleston magazine. We'll know more the closer we get to the August publication date.
That brings us to next week's assignment: Playing tourist. We want your photos of your favorite Lowcountry spots where you take your friends and family when they visit town.
Send us your best shot. If you would like your photo to be eligible in My Charleston magazine, please include a line in your email saying so.
- Send just one (1) photograph to email@example.com by noon on Tuesday, April 22. Include your name, town and where the photo was taken. If you send us multiple photos we will select one randomly.
- We will allow photographs with reasonable watermarks to run in the gallery but for the winning photo that runs in the newspaper we must have a photo that does not have a watermark. If you want to send us one with the watermark (to run online) and one without (to possibly run in the newspaper) please feel free.
