Forecasters predict a near 100 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, the National Weather Service reports.
A wind advisory will go into effect for much of the Lowcountry at 10 a.m., according to the Weather Service. Rainfall is expected to reach up to a half inch.
The Mount Pleasant Farmers Market is canceled today due to the impending weather.
Today's highs will be in the upper 70s with lows around 40. Winds gusts could reach up to 40 mph.
Wednesday: Sunny skies are expected with highs around 60 and lows in the mid 40s. Wind gusts will reach up to 30 mph.
Thursday: Partly sunny skies are expected with highs near 70 and lows in the mid 50s. Wind gusts will reach up to 30 mph.
