A June court date has been set for a hearing in the lingering divorce settlement dispute between U.S. Rep. Mark Sanford and ex-wife Jenny Sanford.
A half-hour block of time has been set aside on June 2 in front of Charleston County Family Court Judge Jocelyn Cate.
Jenny Sanford last week accused Mark Sanford of being in contempt of court for not working to settle an issue related to their 2010 divorce.
The exact nature of the dispute has not been disclosed because their separation and property settlement is under seal. Sanford's spokesman said the issue surrounds his family's farm, known as Coosaw Plantation in Beaufort County.
Mark Sanford, a Republican representing the coastal 1st Congressional District, has several local appearances set for today, including a morning visit to the Berkeley County Google Data Facility, a 12:30 p.m. appearance with the Charleston Rotary Club and a 2 p.m. stop at the Upkiss Engineering Corporation Electronics in Hanahan.
