Pediatrician discusses preventive care
William Pittard III, pediatrician and professor emeritus at the Medical University of South Carolina, has published a new book called "Well Child Care in Infancy: Promoting Readiness for Life."
The book, edited by Pittard with several chapters written or co-authored by him, strives to raise awareness about the benefits of preventive care.
Pittard shows how inadequate preventive care not only affects a child's physical well-being, but also school readiness and academic success.
"Well Child Care in Infancy" is produced by AuthorHouse. It is available in hardcover ($27.99), paperback ($16.95) and as an ebook ($3.99) from online retailers.
