College of Charleston women's basketball coach Natasha Adair will be named the head coach at Georgetown University Monday, The Post and Courier has learned.
Adair, who was an assistant coach at Georgetown from 1998-2004, was offered the Hoyas head coaching position earlier in the week and came to terms with the school Friday.
In two seasons at Charleston, Adair guided the Cougars to a 35-31 mark, including two appearances in the Women's Basketball Invitational tournament. The Cougars advanced to the semifinals of this year's WBI.
Adair, who was also an assistant coach at Wake Forest from 2007-12, replaces Jim Lewis.
Georgetown went 11-21 this past season under Lewis, who was named the team's interim head coach back in October.
College of Charleston associate head coach Bob Clark is expected to be a candidate for Cougars job.
