The results of Tuesday's elections for Goose Creek City Council and the Berkeley County School Board District 9 have been certified.
Of 21,202 voters in Goose Creek, 2,696 ballots were cast.
In the mayoral race, incumbent Michael Heitzler received 1,759 votes to challenger Jerry Tekac's 930.
In the council race, where the top three vote-getters win seats, the results were Mark Phillips, 1,731; Kimo Esarey, 1,712; Debra Green-Fletcher, 1,589; Victoria Morell, 1,071; and Gerald Stinson, 1,029. Phillips and Esarey are incumbents. Marguerite Brown did not seek re-election.
In the school board special election, 289 out of 13,728 registered voters in the district cast ballots. Jim Hayes received 131 votes to Kevin Condon's 107.
