MONCKS CORNER -- Berkeley High School was placed on lockdown briefly this morning after police were called to an assault at a house near the school, authorities said.
The school is now open and back to normal, said Moncks Corner Police Capt. Mark Murray.
Police had been summoned to a residence across the street from the high school for a domestic dispute, Murray said.
The incident was not on school grounds, Murray said. No weapons were involved.
The school was locked down while police searched the neighborhood for a suspect, who was found quickly and taken into custody, Murray said.
