One of two brothers whose bodies were found earlier this week in Williamsburg County died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said Thursday.
The manner of death for Calvin Felder, 54, of Mount Pleasant was determined to be suicide, Coroner Harrison McKnight said.
But how his older brother, Fred Felder III, 57, of Charleston, was killed remains undetermined. McKnight said Fred Felder's cause and manner of death were still pending after an autopsy.
Calvin Felder, a wildlife manager, was married to Karen C. Felder, the principal at Jennie Moore Elementary School. Fred Felder was a property manager.
Both men were members of Carolina Yacht Club and First (Scots) Presbyterian Church.
Their bodies were found Tuesday morning on Cedar Creek Road near Andrews, the Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office said. The brothers had been involved in an argument during the weekend, according to an incident report.
