NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- Authorities say a woman is facing a murder charge in the death of her husband at their North Augusta home.
North Augusta Public Safety Lt. Tim Thornton says 20-year-old Terry Cook has been charged with murder.
Authorities say Cook shot her 21-year-old husband, Dakota Cook, in the head at around 10:30 am. Tuesday.
Police say the two had been fighting. There were four children in the home all younger than 5 years old, but they were not hurt.
An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday. The State Law Enforcement Division has been helping North Augusta Public Safety officers investigate the shooting.
Terry Cook was in jail Wednesday, and online court records listed no attorney for her.
