Charleston police are looking for a man they say is gang member who has been threatening his former girlfriend.
Tyreke Devonte Logan, 21, of Ashe Street is wanted on a stalking warrant.
Police were called April 1 to an apartment on Dupont Road. A woman said Logan, who is her ex-boyfriend, had been calling and texting her and threatening to harm her. He mentioned in a text that he carried a gun, according to an incident report. The woman told police Logan often carries a black handgun, possibly a 9 mm.
Police have identified Logan as a member of the Bloods gang, according to the report.
Logan is also wanted on a probation violation, according to police. He pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary in December 2012 and was given a five-year sentence, suspended on serving 204 days in jail and three years probation, according to court records.
He has also been convicted of cocaine possession and unlawful carrying of a firearm, according to court records.
Logan is known to frequent the Gadsden Green and Strawberry Lane areas. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.
