Some Berkeley County voters will head to the polls Tuesday to select a new school board member.
Kevin Condon and Jim Hayes are running to fill the District 9 seat left vacant when board member Scott Marino moved out of state at the end of 2013.
Condon is a lead driver for Republic Services.
Hayes is a retired teacher, coach, and administrator from Berkeley County.
The district covers schools on the western side of Goose Creek and Summerville, Cross and Moncks Corner and includes the following precincts: Central, Carnes Cross Road 1, Carnes Cross Road 2, Lebanon, Pimlico, Sangaree 1, Sangaree 2, Sangaree 3, Wassamassaw 2, Whitesville 1, and Whitesville 2.
Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Polling locations have been consolidated. Check the Berkeley County web site, berkeleycountysc.gov, for details.
