The Charleston Area Justice Ministry will hold a rally Monday to prepare for its Nehemiah Action Assembly this week.
Monday's rally will be at 7 p.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church, 2005 Reynolds Ave., North Charleston.
Discussion will revolve around ways to keep children in school and secure more jobs for young adults.
The rally is designed to prepare for the ministry's major annual event, the Nehemiah Action Assembly, set for April 29.
The ministry, which began in 2011, unites about 20 diverse local congregations to tackle community problems. Their goal is to identify problems and come up with specific, measurable solutions.
In past years, the ministry has focused on the intertwined challenges of juvenile crime and a lack of quality early education for some local children.
