LEXINGTON, S.C. -- Investigators say a 49-year-old Lexington man shot and killed another man as the victim walked down a dirt road, then tried to hide from deputies in the crawl space of his home.
Lexington County deputies said Billy Geisendorff was arguing with 42-year-old Bobby Christofoli late Wednesday night when Geisendorff shot the victims several times.
Geisendorff was arrested a short time later when deputies found him in the crawl space of his nearby house. He has been charged with murder and it isn't known if he had a lawyer.
Deputies are still trying to figure out what the men were arguing about.
The coroner's office says one of the bullets hit Christofoli in the heart and he bled to death in minutes.
