Who hasn't peeked through a wrought-iron garden to catch a glimpse of a stately Charleston home?
Later this week you can do more than look through the fence. Private homes and gardens all over the Charleston area will be open for public tours, giving visitors a rare glimpse into some of the most beautiful spaces in the Lowcountry.
Gardeners, whether experienced or hopefuls, can take advantage of the plant sale and educational opportunities at the Charleston Horticultural Society's annual Plantasia with its offering of unusual plants and workshops.
So put on your walking shoes and get ready to explore homes from the Old Village of Mount Pleasant through historic downtown Charleston and on to the beachfront homes of Kiawah Island.
