A Mount Pleasant man accused of conspiring with an escort to rob and shoot her customer was arrested Thursday.
Marquise Kayron Kinloch, 20, of Happyland Boulevard is charged with armed robbery, attempted murder and kidnapping.
On Jan. 22, Kinloch shot and robbed a man who had arranged to meet a woman named April for sexual services, according to an affidivat from the Charleston County Sheriff's Office. They were having sex in the back seat of a car at the dead end of Williams Mazyck Lane when Kinloch and another man opened the doors, put a gun to the man's head and stole money, shoes and an assault rifle, according to investigators.
The man who was robbed tried to run away after he was released and was shot in his right arm.
The escort later told deputies that Kinloch told her where to direct her customer so he could rob him, according to the affidavit. Deputies also said she told them Kinloch used the stolen AK-47 to shoot the man.
The affidivat didn't name the other man who was said to be involved in the robbery.
Kinloch was being held on Friday in the Charleston County jail.
