North Charleston police have issued an arrest warrant after a man was fatally shot late Tuesday.
Officers were sent to Woodlawn Avenue after receiving reports of gunfire shortly after midnight, spokesman Spencer Pryor said.
They found a man with a gunshot wound lying in the driveway at 2639 Woodlawn Ave. He died at Medical University Hospital, Pryor said.
The Charleston County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Daniel Patterson, 22, of Charleston.
Witnesses told police the victim was involved in an argument with another man who pulled out a handgun and shot him. The suspect took off in a white Buick Park Avenue, witnesses told police.
Police later issued an arrest warrant on a murder charge for Bobby William Johnson Jr., 26, of North Charleston. His last known address is on Sallie Street in North Charleston.
