A North Charleston man is accused of shooting a Charleston man in the leg Thursday, according to police.
Andrew Xavier Smalls, 21, was charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and armed robbery on Friday.
Police found Theron Haynes, 24, Thursday at 9:06 p.m. near Hazelwood Drive in Charleston shot in the right leg, according to an incident report. Police later discovered he had also been robbed, officials said.
Haynes was transported to Medical University Hospital, the report stated.
Smalls remains jailed at the Al Cannon Detention Center in Charleston County on a $200,000 bail.
