Traffic lanes on the Isle of Palms Connector will be closed because of construction several nights this week.
Lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights between U.S. Highway 17 and the connector bridge, according to announcement from Charleston County. If bad weather delays construction, work will be carried over to next week.
One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.
The work is part of the project to widen the connector and improve the Rifle Range Road intersection to ease traffic congestion. The project is funded by the Charleston County Transportation Sales Tax and managed by Charleston County Government.
