Roddy White is a man of his word, and of many words. The Atlanta Falcons wide receiver, a James Island native, has made good on an impromptu bet he lost with a Twitter follower and will provide fan Dylan Hoyt with Falcons tickets.
Last week, White and Hoyt engaged in a tweet give-and-take in which White said he would give Hoyt season tickets on the 50-yard line if No. 14 seed Mercer upset No. 3 seed Duke in the NCAA tournament.
White's big payoff:
- Two season tickets.
- Two Super Bowl tickets.
- Two sideline passes to one Falcons game.
- A training camp visit as White's guest.
"I'm a man of integrity and definitely a man of my word, and the kid is a great kid," White told ESPN.com. "We have talked about it for days while people were just speculating. And being a father, you have to be responsible for your actions. I have always been a 'Say what you do and do what you say' type of guy. And I wanted to add some incentives because he was so cool."
