Charleston police are investigating a burglary that occurred late Thursday at a Subway restaurant on James Island.
It happened around 10 p.m., shortly after closing, at 345 Folly Road, police said.
One of the restaurant's employees was inside waiting for a ride home when she heard what sounded like glass being broken, according to an incident report.
The woman ran out of the restaurant and flagged down an officer who was chasing a suspicious person from the restaurant, police said.
The employee told police she saw a second suspicious person running in the area shortly after the burglary.
Officers found a shattered window near the restaurant's drive-thru, the report stated.
No arrests have been made in the case, police spokesman Charles Francis said.
The burglary remains under investigation.
