The city of Goose Creek is seeking riders to participate in a fundraising bike ride.
The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital "Making a Difference for St. Jude" Bike-A-Thon is slated for 9 a.m. April 12 at the lake and hiker biker trail behind Goose Creek City Hall.
"We're looking for riders of all ages who will contribute their time and talent to help children live," said Goose Creek Police Chief Harvey Becker. "We really need lots of riders, since they are the ones who can make this Bike-A-Thon successful."
The event is a fundraiser for the research center and its battle against childhood cancer and other diseases.
Riders get sponsors to pledge by the mile.
Call Becker at 863-5200 ext. 2309 for details. Rider sponsor forms are available at the Goose Creek Police Department.
