Firefighters extinguished flames overnight at a West Ashley apartment complex, officials report.
Charleston and St. Andrews firefighters were called to Windjammer Apartments, 1742 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, according Charleston Fire Department spokesman Ryan Kunitzer.
Crews arrived at the scene and extinguished flames that ignited within an exterior wall, he said.
Two units received minor damage, Kunitzer said. Apartment officials were working to relocate the displaced residents.
Paramedics also responded to the scene as a precaution. No one was transported to the hospital in the fire, according to Charleston County dispatchers.
