U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham has picked up two more official primary opponents as Orangeburg lawyer Bill Connor and Columbia pastor and retired lawyer Det Bowers have both filed as Republicans.
Easley businessman Richard Cash also has filed for the seat, and there could be as many as three other GOP challengers before filing ends Sunday. State Sen. Lee Bright of Spartanburg, Charleston public relations executive Nancy Mace, Orangeburg lawyer Bill Connor, and ex-police office Dave Feliciano of Spartanburg also have said they're running.
Meanwhile, Ginny Deerin of Charleston filed as a Democrat for the S.C. Secretary of State, where Republican Mark Hammond is seeking re-election. And Karen Smith of Dorchester also filed as a Democrat for the 6th Congressional District seat held by Democratic Rep. Jim Clyburn, who is seeking re-election.
Filing closes at noon Sunday.
