After a yearlong search for a new home, the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors has made its decision.
The industry trade group is moving to the Centre Pointe area near Tanger Outlets in North Charleston later this year.
The association will occupy a 9,250-square-foot space in a single-story building at 5006 Wetland Crossing Drive.
The developer of the project is Wetland Crossing LLC. It's made up of Mount Pleasant-based Landmark Enterprises and the North Charleston office of Realtylink LLC, said Jason Ward, vice president of development at Landmark.
Construction is expected to be completed by July, officials said.
The association has to move from its longtime headquarters at the S.C. Research Authority campus on International Boulevard. That property has been purchased by Boeing South Carolina to accommodate its growth plans at its adjacent 787 planemaking campus.
The Realtors association was founded in 1907 and has about 3,900 members.
It began looking for a new office location more than a year ago, when it started accepting proposals from builders, sellers and landlords.
At the time, the association stressed that it needed to stay near its current offices and would need plenty of parking.
CEO Wil Riley said in a statement last week that the group was "happy to find a central location that will continue to give our members easy access to the service we provide."
