Ristorante LIDI

Ristorante LIDI opened earlier this month on Daniel Island, offering a lengthy dinner menu of Italian-American classics geared toward families.

"What we want to develop at LIDI (is) a place where families can enjoy good, simple food together," chef Jason Colon, father of a young girl, was quoted as saying in an release.

Colon previously worked in Asian fusion restaurants, and he's brought a group-dish approach to LIDI, where the menu includes a number of salads, pastas and entrees sized for the table. Choices include chicken parmesan ($28), veal marsala ($34) and spaghetti and meatballs ($23). There's also a traditional menu for eaters who don't want to share. LIDI is at 901 Island Park Drive.
