Berkeley County investigators discovered guns and drugs in connection with the arrest of three people in a hotel Friday, according to authorities.
Agents with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Drug Enforcement Unit saw a drug sale in the parking lot of a Comfort Suites, officials said. Authorities did not say where the hotel was located.
After searching the hotel, where the individuals involved in the drug sale were staying, authorities found three handguns, ammunition and about 15 grams of marijuana and material that tested positive for LSD, investigators said.
Brandon Joshua Kirby, 27, of Summerville; Amber Crystal Ghassmzadeh, 28, of Moncks Corner; and Thomas Edward Fox, 34, of North Charleston, were arrested.
Kirby and Ghassmzadeh were charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of LSD.
Kirby was also charged as a felon in possession of a firearm, and Fox was additionally charged with the manufacture and distribution of a form of methamphetamine known as "crystal ice" and possession with intent to distribute LSD.
