Rain will be sticking around for a few days in the Charleston area, according to the National Weather Service.

Showers are predicted to continue through Sunday night, with 1 to 2 inches possible.

Monday should be wet and cooler, with rain throughout the day and night and a high near 57. A quarter to half an inch of rain could fall in the afternoon and another quarter to half inch Monday night.

More rain is likely Tuesday morning and early afternoon, with a high near 53. The rain could resume again Tuesday night until about 2 a.m.

Wednesday's outlook is more pleasant, with partly sunny skies and a high near 70.
