A Hanahan man is $125,000 richer thanks to a lucky hand at the lottery.
The winner requested anonymity, S.C. Education Lottery officials said. However, it is known that he purchased his $5 scratch-off ticket at the Circle K store on Meeting Street in Charleston.
The Giant Jumbo Bucks ticket he bought this week netted enough cash to pay off the man's debts, officials said. The odds of him winning were nearly one in a million.
As of Friday morning, one $125,000 prize remained in the $5 Giant Jumbo Bucks game, according to a news release.
The Meeting Street store will received a $1,250 commission for selling the winning ticket.
