Charleston police on Friday asked for help tracking down a truck believed to be linked to the theft of a St. Pierre Construction trailer containing $15,000 worth of tools.
According to Cpl. Fred Bowie, the older model GMC 1500 extended cab was photographed near the St. Philip Street job site where the theft occurred.
The burgundy truck has a silver toolbox in the bed of the pickup. Partial numerals from the license plate are either 174 or 474, Bowie said.
A large dent is noticeable on the truck's tailgate release handle and taillights, Bowie said.
