BLUFFTON, S.C. -- Jasper County sheriff's deputies continue to investigate the shooting death of a man in Hardeeville last week.
Deputies say 22-year-old Travis Wiggins of Hardeeville was arrested over the weekend and charged in the death of 25-year-old Taj Lewis Garvin of Hardeeville.
Deputies said Wiggins is accused of firing several shots into a car on March 2, killing Garvin.
Beaufort County sheriff's deputies say State Law Enforcement Division agents tried to arrest Wiggins on March 6 in Bluffton, but he ran away.
Jasper Sheriff's Maj. Donald Hipp said SLED agents captured Wiggins the next day in Bluffton.
No motive in the shooting has been released. It was not clear if Wiggins has an attorney.
