North Charleston police are working to identify a man who robbed the clerk of a University Boulevard convenience store early Monday.
The Kangaroo gas station clerk told police a black man, approximately 30 years old, wearing a black hoodie, black pants and white shoes, entered the store at around 1 a.m. and demanded money, according to authorities.
The clerk told investigators it looked like the suspect had something in his hand, but was unsure if it was a gun, authorities said.
The clerk opened the register and the suspect grabbed cash, police said.
The suspect was last seen leaving around the back of the store near the trash containers, according to police.
Police ask anyone with information to contact their department or Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
