A Johns Island man is accused of stabbing a Summerville man on Sunday, according to Charleston County Sheriff's officials.
Jason Ammons, 35, was charged with attempted murder and is currently detained Al Cannon Detention Center.
A judge is expected to consider setting bail Monday afternoon.
Ammons and Phillip Kinard, 21, got into an argument inside a car on Chisolm Road at around 11:11 p.m., according to an incident report.
They were with another man and were traveling from Folly Beach, authorities said.
Ammons reached into his pocket, pulled out a knife and stabbed Kinard in the stomach, according to the report.
His friend, who was also in the car, drove Kinard to a gas station for help, authorities said.
Kinard was transported to Medical University Hospital. A deputy had to accompany Kinard in the ambulance due to his "extremely aggressive behavior" towards the EMS crew and everyone he spoke to, the report stated.
